Thor 2 is a weak stepping stone toward another Avengers.
That clip is probably the best part of the movie. The first Thor, worked because because of Chris Hemsworth’s portrayal of a cocky fish out of water demi-god. The try to reverse that in this film by bringing, Natalie Portman’s character in Asgard. But she is met with boring harangues from royalty, the human sarcasm that made the first film a bit more fun.
The action is mundane compared to the Avengers franchise, and the aerial dogfights are droll when compared to that of Star Trek or Star Wars.
